Which countertop material is the most durable?
Quartz, granite and porcelain are all very durable for everyday kitchens. Porcelain and granite handle heat and the outdoors best; quartz needs no sealing and resists stains. Laminate is durable for its price but isn’t heat resistant.
Which countertops don’t need sealing?
Quartz, porcelain and laminate never need sealing. Granite is natural stone and benefits from a periodic sealer to keep oils and liquids from soaking in.
What’s the most affordable countertop option?
